It’s generally accepted that most Kinect only games have lower budgets than the Halos and Gears of War of this world, and has often meant below average graphics (possibly due to the extra processing required for the Kinect device).  However, it seems those games granted a bit more of a budget are managing to present some finer visuals – Fable The Journey being one of them. The game box proclaims the ‘best looking Fable game’ of them all – although it cannot compare to the PC version of Fable 3 – and it could be right. However it’s a bold claim to make for a Kinect only game. The past Fables had their moments, but the on rails The Journey means Lionhead have perhaps been able to push a bit more with the graphics. There’s undoubtedly less budget poured into The Journey than Fable 3, but as it stands The Journey does stack up rather well. Take a look at the video of some of The Journey’s finer locations.
