We recently reported on Resident Evil 6 enjoying some impressive estimated sales figures in the region of 3 million for the weeks it has been on sale. However, looking at the partner site stats over at ResidentEvil.Net and it shows how many Resident Evil 6 online players there have been  globally. Whilst we’re not sure whether the numbers indicate players who have merely logged on to the PSN or Xbox live with the game, or actual co-op players,  the numbers are high. As of now on PS3 there are almost 1.1 million online players with 700,000 on Xbox 360.

The numbers are good, and would suggest that around two thirds of those who have purchased the game have played the game whilst connected  online.
