Ghost Recon Wildlands Predator AI is Shameful

Ubisoft’s development teams might not be massively well respected for their game AI behaviors even though they have done reasonable jobs in the past. Their most recent venture with the timed Ghost Recon Wildlands Predator event is simply soul destroying. Many gamers will no doubt be well used to AI cheating in times gone by, but in this instance it’s saddening to see developers resort to such poor tactics to prevent players from unlocking cool predator themed gear and elongate what is essentially a 10 minute free add-on. It’s probably safe to say many Gamers want a fair challenge when attempting to unlock something neat and for free we might add, however the Predator in Ghost Recon Wildlands has some other ideas about what is acceptable behavior perhaps being a satirical throwback to the time period when the movie released in 1987.

There is nothing wrong with biting the bullet a few times and dusting oneself off and trying again, and again. It’s par de la cors for gamers the world over, but it feels more rewarding when there at least looks like it’s a level playing field. The Predator character can already evade bullets just by cloaking and what is worse can literally be in two places at the same time. This is a shameful abuse of the licensed character and it just feels like he was thrown into the game with little thought to get people to buy the Predator themed content. Take a look at the Predator AI cheating in the video, it’s one ugly mother f***er.

Note to Ubisoft: please can we have less cheap boss battles next time as this nonsense just sours what could have been a great spin-off moment for the game.

Please Note: No gamer egos were hurt (too much) during the making of this video.
