We put the Xbox One version of Capcom’s Dead Rising 3 next to the just released PC release to see how the two compare in our Dead Rising 3 Xbox One vs PC video. Aside from vast differences in gamma levels where both settings were left at the game’s default when recording, considering after some tweaking in brightness, still left the Xbox One version darker overall, so we returned them to default. The differences then are rather marginal in this instance despite the Xbox One version not running at native 1080p and is being upscaled by the Xbox One, whilst the PC version is running at Max settings with some FXAA rather than SMAA being applied.
Dead Rising 3 Xbox One vs PC video

This is a prime example of a “quick-n-dirty port”….and if you expected anything else from Crapcom, you need your @ss kicked.
I know I’m gonna get flamed for saying this but the only great difference I can see is that the contrast looks off on the xbox one videos which can be sorted in the options. I’m an Xbox one owner so maybe that makes me bias but I expected more from a year extra development on a system that is more powerful
Read my comment below. You can’t get flamed for stating an obvious fact. There was no “year extra development” involved here…more like a few weeks of sloppy porting by a very small team of flunkies.
