Unreal Engine 4 Kite Demo R9 290X Performance

Epic released their Unreal Engine 4 Kite Demo which you might recognize from last year which features an animated boy and his kite using the latest game engine. It’s a resource hungry beast and pushes our R9 290x GPU, i5 3570K 16 GB ram PC to its limits. We’ve tried the demo in crossfire but the results aren’t so great as it’s likely needs some tinkering to get it to work more efficiently. Either way, being able to move around the lush highlands environment, change the time of day and mingle with the wildlife is refreshingly beautiful even if we’re unable to maintain the steady locked 30fps. Take a look at the video below or if your PC is capable download and give the demo a try for yourselves.
