According to a tweet from Team Ninja, pre Tokyo Game Show 2012 (20th – 23rd September), they tweeted about revealing a new console game for the event.

“東京ゲームショウつながりでもう一つ。去年の東京ゲームショウでは「DEAD OR ALIVE 5」を初公開しました。というわけで今年も・・・東京ゲームショウに併せて、据置ゲーム機向けの新作を発表しようと思います。”

Thanks to Rantgaming they have roughly translated it to mean:  “Just another [Tweet] related to the Tokyo Game Show.  Last year, we first revealed “DEAD OR ALIVE 5″ at the Tokyo Game Show.  And so, this year too…we would like to announce a brand new title for a TV game console just in time with the Tokyo Game Show.”

Speculation is rife as to what the new game could be but it might be a Wii U exclusive or something expected like a new Ninja Gaiden game.  Perhaps it’s time to resurrect one of Itagaki’s favourite fan service games with a new Xtreme Volley Ball game. Yikes!
