Crytek’s online stealth survival PvE, PvP game Hunt Showdown released today on PS4 and Xbox One to accompany the PC version which released in August last year. It seems some people are confused as to what the game is about or how it plays. Recently Crytek added replayable tutorial missions for solo players/beginners to learn the basics. You can see the bounty hunt mode played solo in the tutorial below.
Once out of the tutorial though the game is very much a different matter when you factor the aggression of other human players. You effectively have two options, team-up with another player in duo form or teams of three. You might stand a better chance this way and it makes the PvP a little easier to bear. However, a second option if like us you prefer a stealthier solo experience then you can see how that pans out in the video below playing alone against those teams. What is key here is paying attention to all of the sounds made and avoiding direct contact with the other players (unless you’re brave). A lone solo player is unlikely to fare well against other teams of duos and they have the AI enemies to contend with as well.
