Whilst VR is still in its infancy let’s not forget how great games can look when played with the added third dimension. In this case GTA 5 manages to thrill in 3D and as a bonus more people are likely to own 3D enabled displays than their VR counterparts. We’ve been tinkering with the PC version of GTA 5 and Tridef’s 3D software with some fantastic results after several hours of adjusting options (we probably should give our now crossed eyes a rest). After disabling shadows and getting the right balance of depth and pop out effects we think GTA 5 3D reaches another level completely, where you’ve got Los Santos right in your living room in some hybrid AR/VR type experience (depending on you 3D display size).
