Gears of War Ultimate Edition 4K Benchmark – GTX 980 Ti

Here’s a look at the Gears Of War Ultimate Edition 4K Benchmark tool which gives gamers the chance to see how well their PC can hold up when tailoring the settings. Whilst there’s few options overall, there’s enough here to make sure you can keep a steady frame rate as the game does feel great at 60 frames per second. That said, the game does look mighty fine in 4K although we’re chugging at around 30 frames per second using a GTX 980 Ti GPU and having Shadowplay impacting performance a little. Dialling down to 2K resolution seems to be the sweet spot for maintaining highest settings and a solid 60 FPS. As it’s a Windows 10 game we couldn’t record full screen with Shadowplay unfortunately.

I have the same CPU and GPU… YAY! Pro tip on win10 for folks who like to ‘game’ in 4k 60 fps: leave the win10 built-in ‘gameDVR /background recording always on’ in Xbox app settings to ‘off’ for best performance. It says it in the app itself too 🙂

And I overclock both the CPU and GPU and get 4k 60 fps. But that’s another story lol
