Following on from a rather shaky release for Assassin’s Creed Unity last month, Ubisoft’s woes continue as an internal leak has meant Assassin’s Creed Victory – the next game in the franchise is now public. Kotaku spills all the beans with some stills from a trailer which highlights the game’s Victorian setting in London. Apparently, the game will release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC next year and will be the first time last gen systems won’t see a new Assassin’s Creed game. It’s also said that Ubisoft’s Quebec studio has been working on the game for the last few years. In light of the leak which somewhat confirms its authenticity, Ubisoft issued a statement.
“It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked. And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we’re disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public. The team in our Quebec studio has been hard at work on the particular game in question for the past few years, and we’re excited to officially unveil what the studio has been working on at a later date. In the meantime, our number one priority is enhancing the experience of Assassin’s Creed Unity for players.”
