Assassin’s Creed 4 foliage comparison – shows why next gen graphics matter

With much talk about resolutions and optimal frame rates being important for next generation systems, it’s perhaps more productive to cast ones eyes at  meaningful graphical enhancements the PS4 and Xbox One bring to the table when compared to the now last generation Xbox 360 and PS3. Assassin’s Creed 4 is a great example of the differences between two generations as the game affords far more vibrant graphical effects which add more realism to the game world that neither the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions benefit from. The game boasts, improved lighting, shadows, smoke and weather effects in the next gen and PC version and with better physics as seen in the Assassin’s Creed 4 foliage comparison video,  highlights that next gen graphics capabilities beyond the native output resolution and high frame rate makes quite the difference.
