Some Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3 (for current gen consoles) news for those willing to sit through the CD Projekt Group Q3 2021 earnings live stream.
In a nutshell, the aim has been to set Cyberpunk 2077 in a more positive light following its not so well received launch almost one year ago. This is alongside getting next year’s 1.5 release up to scratch for PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles. Laying the foundations for building the franchise further by getting the existing game functioning as intended. In addition, concurrently developing AAA titles (commencing in 2022 after the 1.5 release) including the Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer based on their existing franchises. We’re going to go out on a limb and suggest a standalone Cyberpunk 2077 expansion for Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC only. It’s obvious the shackles of Xbox One and PS4 consoles were holding back development of the game despite their being more consumers using those consoles. CDPG also shut down rumours that Cyberpunk 2077 would be coming to Xbox Game Pass. Also, those looking for PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of The Witcher 3, that is needing more upgrading to suit today’s expectations given the game is 7 years old. The development is being handled by a partnered studio.
