Espire 1 VR Operative Ghost Gameplay – Update 1.4 Improves the Stealth Play Considerably

When Digital Lode first released their stealth action Espire 1 VR Operative game for VR heads not so long ago it was a bit of a mess. Whilst still playable it was filled with bugs and the gameplay left little-to-be-desired in terms of being fair to the player. The recent update 1.4 changes this considerably though so is it worth diving-in this time?

Since we reviewed the game Digital Lode released a couple of updates (with more planned for early 2020). Update 1.4 specifically readdresses the balance with the guards vision, making the game feel much-more forgiving. Whilst there’s still plenty to do in terms of squashing the odd bug here and there, if you dismissed the game previously, now might be a good time to check it out again. It feels more intuitive now for stealth players where you can actually use the wall climbing to great effect essentially opening up the levels where previously you dared not venture. Take a look at our Espire 1 VR Operative Ghost gameplay video to witness how we effectively beat mission 2the 20 minute level totally undetected.
