Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain PC Performance R9 290X

Konami’s Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain released yesterday on consoles and PC offering some neat visuals and impressive gameplay. For PC gamers there’s the usual tinkering with the game’s graphics settings to get the best performance. We ran the game with all the dials turned up to max to see how it would perform on our R9 290X GPU, i5 3570K CPU, 16 GB RAM Windows 10 64 Bit OS gaming PC. As you can see in the video the game stays fairly steady at 60 frames per second, but does drop down a bit when there’s more assets being rendered. Turning down some of the options does allow for a more consistent frame rate. Either way, take a look at the Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain PC performance video to get an idea.
