Metacity Patrol Gameplay Part 1 – The game that LOW-FI isn’t

A new VR game (early access) for Quest owners with a cyberpunk flavour. Metacity Patrol has a lot going for it as a sandbox experience. Game is currently £2.99 on the Meta store which is a steal. Meanwhile, LOW-FI which has been in development for longer than we can remember (since 2019) sits in development hell. Over ambitious and needing more funding despite having backing from a Kickstarter and SONY. It’s amazing that Metacity Patrol (also by a solo developer) ticks all the boxes and is constantly updated adding more features. LOW-FI hasn’t had an update for almost a year where the developer posts on X how he is enjoying life and not updating the game.

Metacity Patrol: Explore. Investigate. Liberate.

(Early access – still in development)

Step into the neon-soaked, dystopian world of Metacity. In a future where synthetics walk amongst the living.

As a new recruit in Metacity Law Enforcement, free fly in your air car around the miles of sky above Metacity’s urban sprawl, with over 100 locations to land, explore, and free roam on foot.

Fight a crime wave of illegally modified synthetics, respond to HQ calls in real-time, collect evidence, interrogate suspects, uncover a criminal underworld, and liberate Metacity.

Rise through the ranks and earn money to spend on implants, upgrades, property, and anything else for sale around Metacity. Alternatively, go off duty and experience life as a Metacitizen, check out the entertainment districts, test your flying skills in street races, or just relax and explore the city.

Personalize your weapon and gloves to suit your style. Buy property, upgrade your air car for better performance, and invest in cutting-edge implant technology to sharpen your stats.
