From today Xbox 360 gamers will be able to snag some Games on Demand titles from the Live Marketplace for a fraction of their original price in the Xbox Ultimate Sale – possibly and hopefully the first of many promotions moving into Xbox One and handy for those gamers looking to ditch the discs from their consoles. Whilst initially, the prices of Games on Demand pale in comparison to their retail counterparts, with sales being offered, it’s about time Microsoft moved with the times and enticed more gamers into the digital realm. Steam on PC offers constant savings, as do other online retailers specifically trading in digital content, so it’s fitting that Microsoft develops this side of its business strategy.
