Xbox plays digital catch up with PS3 – Call of Duty Ghosts available now

PS3 gamers have for some time enjoyed getting new releases via the Playstation Network when they release at retail, and yet, the Xbox 360 has struggled in this department, with sometimes a lengthy delay with its Games on Demand service.

In respect of Microsoft’s highly publicized partnership with Activision it appears that today’s release of Call of Duty Ghosts is currently available for digital download via Xbox Live for £49.99 which is good news for gamers who like the convenience of storing games on their hard drive free of any discs.  Whilst we won’t agree with the extra premium gamers have to pay, at least it proves that the Xbox 360 is stepping up its digital marketplace ahead of the Xbox One.
