Xbox One details surface

German website 4players.de has posted some information regarding the Xbox One which might not be new news but clarifies some of the rumors and misinformation that has surrounded the console. We’ve picked out some highlights from the Google translation.

Xbox One Details:

  • Graphics clock speed increased by 7 per cent, but no plans(or not possible) to modify other pieces of hardware.
  • The 499 price point is fixed as Microsoft believes this is great value for the product they are providing.
  • In the idle state, from which the console listens for the voice command “Xbox On”, it consumes about 14 watts, which is approximately four cents per day.  At the very highest of all sleep states, the Xbox one uses half a watt  costing one-third of a cent per day, so no need to pull the plug when not being used.
  • The Xbox One must be placed horizontally to get the correct airflow.
