Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 Release Slips into 2022

Originally planned for a 2020 release, Paradox Interactive’s Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 will not release this year as planned. You can read the official update here.

Paradox had a rough ride in recent times and what perhaps hasn’t helped was the dismissal of the Narrative Lead, Brian Mitsoda last year. And now the new, Hardsuit Labs are no longer leading the development. However, aside from personnel issues and other spanners in the works, the game did look a little rough around the edges when it was last publicly shown, and if CDPR’s Cyberpunk 2077’s release is anything to go by, developers should have taken note. If you release an unfinished, or broken game early with the aim of fixing it post-release then this does nothing for your credibility. In-fact, can harm it greatly. Let’s hope Paradox can get back on track with this title as it does look rather promising even in its current state.
