TitanFall Xbox One 792p versus PC 1080p offers little difference

Now that it has been confirmed by Respawn Entertainment that the Xbox One version of TitanFall will run at 792p when it launches tomorrow, due to the game’s aesthetics the comparison with the PC version which runs at a full 1080p shows that the actual differences are quite minor when simply looking at the game in non combat situations. However,  the game’s running operation in frames per second is the key component here for silky smooth gameplay and so it’s obvious why the Xbox One version has kept the relative smooth running frames per second from the Beta in accordance with its lower resolution.  That said, it’s quite possible Respawn will optimize the game further post launch with an update that could push the resolution higher.

We published  a TitanFall Xbox One 792p versus PC 1080p  video from the Beta last month which shows that juxtaposed the game’s texture details are pretty much the same. Naturally the Youtube compression has diminished the overall quality for both versions but doesn’t hide the similar looking texture details. Also, the Xbox One version has been upscaled to 1080p via the console. All said and done, the differences aren’t that noticeable, even when looking at both games in operation on their respective platforms in realtime. Sure, the PC version sports a much more cleaner, sharper look, but overall Xbox One owners shouldn’t feel too disheartened that the game hasn’t reached the pinnacle of 1080p. What’s perhaps most important is that the game plays smoothly, as dips in frames can kill the experience, and whilst during the Beta there were some (and are still present in the final build), for most gamers who embarked on its delights, found the game to be top quality regardless of the output resolution.
