Street Fighter V Release Date Announced & More

Yesterday during Paris Games Week Sony media briefing Capcom’s Yoshiniro Ono announced that February 16th 2016 will be the release date for Street Fighter V game (PS4/PC) and joked about the leaked details which Eurogamer Portugal had revealed earlier in the day in error. He also mentioned there wil be six new characters coming to the game over the course of the year making the total roster count 22. What was also interesting was the introduction of Namco’s Tekken creator Katsuhiro Harada as a playable character in Street Fighter V but this is most likely to be a joke for the event given the history between the two. As an interesting note aside from the fact Dhalsim was announced, players can grab the characters using in-game “Fight Money” currency which is gained through in-game activities but this doesn’t rule out whether there will be DLC costumes as we’ve seen with Street Fighter IV.
