Sony, This is how you Could Present Playstation VR Content

During the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2016 event in Barcelona, Samsung took to the stage to officially reveal its latest Galaxy smartphone with the S7 and S7 Edge. As leading edge purveyors of VR devices Samsung lead the audience to some other reality places by having everyone hooked up to the Gear VR as you can see in the video below. Whilst this is practical due to the mobile nature of the Gear VR head set, it does highlight the right way to present VR to a large audience. We’re going to say that Sony needs to take note especially with its lacklustre stage performances it has used thus far to sell its upcoming Playstation VR. Obviously there are challenges involved with the PS VR over the Gear VR such as a requirement to be tethered to a PS4 console and power supply, but the idea is here and with some technical wizardry running some serious cabling, what we’ve seen today could be possible (even if its a major headache to set up). Alternatively they could just bite the bullet and use the same Gear VR set up with PS VR 360 degree gameplay footage pre-recorded. The real issue here is that Samsung, like the rest of us know that to really show off what VR is about it has to be experienced first hand and today’s event clearly shows that ideal working when there’s a large audience. Bravo Samsung.
