After a week of being on sale Resident Evil 6 has finally managed to surpass the half million number of online players at any given time on Xbox 360. The figure has grown over the week, but only in the last day has it managed to top 500,000 . However, there seems to be more players on the PS3 according to the official stats page with some 800,000 plus online users.
Interestingly, the number of users who have registered over at the official gameĀ partner website ResidentEvil.net is only 39,000 on Xbox and 56,000 on PS3 which makes for quite a small percentage of the overall players. With the website being key to unlocking more free content such as additional costumes, this does come as a surprise.
Good to see that Xbox 360 gamers aren’t as stupid in buying this crappy game as PS3 gamers.
360 players prolly couldnt afford the game after wasting $50 to play online
No the paupers on the pauperstation3 can’t afford the online to begin with.
Oh no, trust me when I say we can… were just not stupid enough to wast money online when the ps3 gives it to you for free.
This could have something to do with Sony’s new Day 1 Digital service availale via PSN. Now that PSN users can download AAA titles on day one without leaving their couch makes the transition of buying and playing games smooth and convenient.
It could, but I don’t think so. Not having anything physical and for the same price to boot. I hope not many people fell for that trap.
Good to see that more 360 users are switching to PS3. /fanboy talk.
It’s not surprising that the numbers are higher on PS3 than 360. After all Resident evil was always better on PlayStation. I remember re 2 on n64 and i couldn’t play it for very long without my hands hurting.
