How To Play Deus Ex Mankind Divided 3D on the Oculus Rift/Vive

Deus Ex Mankind Divided on the PC has an option to play the game using in-built side by side (SBS) stereoscopic 3D. This means you’re able to natively play in 3D using a 3D monitor, TV or VR headset such as the Oculus Rift/HTC Vive. The process is relatively simple but requires a tiny bit of tweaking from the default values. You’ll also need to be aware of the demanding nature of the core game which means possibly dialing back the graphics options to suit your hardware. Take a look at our videos which show the game in 3D and how to get Deus Ex Mankind Divided 3D up and running.

Here’s how. This is really great using Virtual Desktop or Bigscreen and almost feels like a proper VR game if you get the screen size distance correct.

-Launch Virtual Desktop or Bigscreen Beta (Free)
-Launch Deus Ex Launcher
-Under Deus Ex Display options make sure you have Fullscreen ticked
-Select Side by Side option under Stereoscopic 3D
-Optional depending on hardware set resolution 1080p/1440p/2160p
-Launch game
-Under in-game options Display select Stereo Separation slider and change this to between 24-30% You might need to fiddle to get it right with distant objects being in focus alongside near objects being in focus too.
-If you’re using virtual Desktop hit F7 to change to Half SBS (make sure to use a flat screen) Curved screen works but you might need to adjust the stereo separation option a little.
-In Bigscreen you need to select Beta Options then choose 3D SBS.
