SONY recently added an official page for its upcoming VR headset the Playstation VR2 (PSVR2). Whilst offering little new info, it does confirm the device will be using gaze-based foveated rendering using its eye-tracking tech.

Interestingly, the recommended age for usage has remained lower than its peers such as the Oculus Quest by suggesting ages 12 and up (instead of 13 and up). You can view the detailed features here. The PSVR2 requires the PS5 console to power it, but unlike its predecessor, will use inside-out tracking which ditches the external camera unit, has a single cable, and various haptic feedback features using its dual sense controllers and headset vibrations. The specs are very good and quite competitive against current market options, however the release will be later this year when it is expected other VR headsets are to be announced.
