New Xbox One S Releases on August 2nd 2016

Microsoft has today revealed the official release date for the 2 TB Xbox One S (a smaller revised version of the original Xbox One games console) which releases on August 2nd 2016. Varients with smaller hard drives will release at an undisclosed later date. The new sleeker console (40% smaller) will set you back £349.99 and can be purchased through select retailers and the Microsoft online store. Aside from being smaller, the new Xbox One S has a built in power supply as opposed to the cumbersome power brick of the original and a USB port at the front of the console. It will also have an IR blaster and 4K Ultra HD playback with HDR. It is also hinted that the console will upscale games to 4K. Additional Xbox One S hard drive options will include a 1TB and 500GB hard drives for £299.99 ERP and £249.99 ERP respectively.
