HTC Vive Releasing in April 2016

The HTC Vive head mounted Virtual Reality device will be releasing in April 2016 according to the latest update from an official post. The company hasn’t revealed the pricing but has said they will be ramping up production with a further 7000 dev kits being made available prior to the April full launch. With VR about to explode next year with the Oculus Rift consumer version , Sony’s Playstation VR and the Vive hitting the shelves things are about to get interesting. Although reports from weekly trade publication MCV suggest there’s a split of confidence in it being mainstream this year from the perspective of retailers with over half seeing it as a fad much like 3D.
