HP Reverb UK Coming Soon (Updated)

According to HP their high resolution HP Reverb Pro VR headset will hit the UK store in the coming weeks. A store page allows interested parties to be notified when they become available. In our experience with the North American website. When clicking the “notify” button on the page, make sure you check your email account for a verification email. We believe this was bugged on the North American website which is a possibility why so many people didn’t receive any notification. Here is a link to the UK store page.

Update: Apparently according to a rumour HP has recalled its HP Reverbs from retailer Amazon due to an issue with the displays. The headset still appears on the website as out-of-stock. Whether this is a batch issue or a wider problem is unknown at this time. HP has not issued any statement at this time, so therefore this news should be taken with a grain of salt.

Now if the rumour is true and points to a wider problem then this is both good and bad news. Bad the release will most certainly incur further delays. Good news that issues such as the visible mura reported by some early users might get fixed. Either way, so far the HP Reverb has seen a troubled launch. At least HP has time to hit the market firing on all cylinders once any issues are behind them.
