Hitman Beta PC Performance GTX 980 Ti

The Hitman Beta PC version is now live and we put the game through its paces during the opening Yacht mission where Agent 47 enters a simulated area with the aim of taking down a singular target as part of training. As you can see in the video the game is quite demanding due to the high numbers of NPCs that reside on the yacht. Our GTX 980 Ti struggles to maintain 60 frames per second with the the settings cranked up to max (Supersampling left at default). Where there are less NPCs the 980 Ti manages fine in the second mission hanger/military base area but obviously a big part of the Hitman experience is blending in against the crowded backdrops so the yacht is a good indication of performance than any other locale. In the game’s defence, IO Interactive has time to optimize the game although it has to be said there’s no need to crank up the settings to max to get the full enjoyment from the Beta and it’s perhaps Dual GPU set ups that will be able to push the graphics to their max and maintain high frame rates. Either way, take a look at the video to get an idea of GPU/CPU usage in the high intensity area of the game.

Our system: i5 3570K CPU, GTX 980 Ti GPU, 16 GB Ram, Win 10 64bit OS.
