Driveclub delay doesn’t impact PS4 launch line-up

The Driveclub delay has been confirmed by Sony today amidst speculation that Evolution Studios’ free to play launch game was having issues making the PS4 launch deadline.  This means PS Plus members will not receive access to Driveclub Playstation Plus Edition right away, and will also have to wait until early 2014. As a replacement, PS Plus members will receive access to Contrast from Compulsion Games as part of the Instant Game collection. Looking at the PS4 launch line-up and the loss isn’t so bad when looking at all the games on offer, although a number of multiplatform titles will already be available on current gen systems. That said, the only other racer on offer at launch on PS4 will be Criteron’s Need for Speed: Rivals which will be good news for EA.
