Do you Agree with these Top 5 E3 2015 Announcements?

E3 is still in full swing but we’re reckoning most of the big announcements have been made now. There’s been a lot to take in, some highs and lows but mostly the event has been one of the best in many years as far as we’re concerned. All of the big three (Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo) as well as major publishers such as Ubisoft, Square Enix, Bethesda and EA brought their wares to the table with a number of killer games on the horizon which means there’s plenty to look forward to in late 2015 to 2016. This year has been rather special with the announcements though for a number of reasons, most notably – and you’ll see a recurring theme in our video – that gamers wants and desires are being listened to for the most part. It’s been an emotional ride looking at the press conferences an so we’ve rounded up our picks for the top 5 E3 2015 announcements which you can view in our video and see if you agree that these were the show-stoppers of the week.

The Reasoning behind our choices:

For those who might wonder why we’ve chosen this particular order we’ll break them down giving our reasoning starting off with the Ghost Recon Wildlands announcement. There were a number of new game reveals at E3 with an impressive amount of gameplay footage to back it up but after Ubisoft showed the expected The Division, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and Rainbow Six Siege in action, to come out with a new reinvented Ghost Recon game was mindblowing. Plus the game is looking pretty fantastic to boot.

With many games being penned for a 2016 release which just feels oh so far away now, having Fallout 4 be announced with a 2015 release date was simply epic. With so many cool details revealed about the gameplay this was music to our ears and you could tell Bethesda were really proud of that November release date.

A FF 7 remake has been talked about for so many years now it’s unbelievable to ponder that it’s actually happening. The announcement from Sony was cool and calculated and one of the stand out moments from the event for us simply because its unexpected announcement had such a large impact on the audience in the theatre and at home.

Microsoft’s Xbox One backwards compatibility announcement had all the hallmarks of a calculated shot at its rival Sony and although not a new game per se, shows that the company is listening to its users. This was a great announcement and the sly dig about not charging for the games you already own (looking at you Playstation Now) was incredibly well received despite the initial number of games being quite lacking.

Last but not least, the presentation and countdown from the grand master Yu Suzuki and his Shenmue 3 was incredible and again, like the FF 7 remake has been talked about for years. For it to finally come to fruition and in the hands of gamers was a historic moment in gaming and the best announcement of the show in our view.
