Death Stranding The Game Awards 2016 Trailer vs PC Cutscene – Which Looks Better?

Here is a look at the Death Stranding The Game Awards 2016 trailer next to the same scene as featured in the game using the PC version at max settings.

You can see quite the difference in details and lighting. We’re not sure whether this was the same trailer that was said to be running on PS4 Pro hardware but not using the Decima engine. Either way, you can clearly see some tricks used to spice-up the reveal trailer compared to the brighter version from the game. Things like more cinematic tones, better cloth animation, lighting and stronger use of depth of field effects. Interestingly, at times the trailer looks superior, then others the game, so it’s hard to decide overall which is best. The numbers on the left denote the cutscene from the PC version and the right the trailer. Can you spot all the differences which are more visible during the side-by-side section of the video towards the end.
