We stole a patrol car and took it for a spin showing the Cyberpunk 2077 Night City in its glory. We didn’t visit all areas of the map, but showcase how the game transitions from night to day in real-time. Night City is vast in size, and just looks spectacular for an open-world game. Despite issues with AI , numerous bugs, and a general lack of expected features for an open-world game, the actual level-design is one of the best we’ve seen to date. There are quite a number of games offering futuristic settings, such as the recent Watch Dogs Legion, then you have older games like Crackdown 3, Saints Row IV and Agents of Mayhem to name-but-a-few. We think CDPR’s Cyberpunk 2077 creates a vision of a future city best though thanks to its detailed interiors and multi-tiered levels. We think the only map which comes close is the now aged GTA V. Who knows though what Rockstar Games have planned for GTA VI. Cyberpunk 2077 has certainly raised the bar.
