Cyberpunk 2077 8K Gameplay – Ultra Settings

We take CDPR’s Cyberpunk 2077 for spin to see if we can run the game comfortably in native 8K resolution on PC. All settings set to maximum but with no ray tracing and DLSS enabled (set to Auto/Performance mode). As expected, our RTX 3090 handles it pretty well with the gameplay settling for a reasonably comfortable 30 fps as you can see in our Cyberpunk 2077 8K gameplay video. This drops to around 17 fps with DLSS disabled. In addition, using LOW preset with DLSS OFF the game can manage 30 fps. Please note, that Shadowplay recording in 8K at high bitrate (130K) affects the FPS up to 10%, so if you see dips in the video it’s likely not to happen when there are no background processes taking resources. Also worth bearing in mind, the video playback on Youtube looks great if you select 8K option (using the cog). Even with 4K or lower resolution displays, you should be able to easily notice the increase in image clarity.
