Borderlands 2 – Mount Jackmore trailer

2K Games and Gearbox Software have launched ‘Mount Jackmore’, which is a new interactive online game where players can win some prizes including the Limited Edition Loot Lockers. Take a look at the trailer.

Handsome Jack, the ultimate villain of Gearbox Software’s upcoming release, Borderlands 2, has kicked his arrogance and douchebaggery up a notch by carving his face into Pandora’s rocky landscape. ‘Mount Jackmore’ gives players the  task/mission to shoot away at his chiseled features in the hope of taking away a prize.

Registered players start by selecting their weapon of choice and use their initial supply of 100 bullets to chip away at Jack’s stony face. Players can earn additional ammo once a day by inviting friends to play. As the rock disintegrates, prizes will be given away at designated points in the game.

Viewing the game in real time, players will be able to watch as their competitors take pot shots at the rock and will have to fight it out against them to  hit the right spot at the right time.

The prizes range from Borderlands 2 Vault logo pin badges to official apparel, figurines and copies of the game (upon release), with the player who destroys the final piece of the mountain set to win a special prize.  There are also sixteen sought-after Limited Edition Borderlands 2 Ultimate Loot Chests to be won.

‘Mount Jackmore’ can be accessed via www.wubwub.eu and will consist of four separate rounds, each round lasting for a week, with the first round starting today. It is open to residents aged 18 and older in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway, Denmark, Russia and Australia. The contest rules, along with full terms and conditions, can be viewed online at the following link: wubwub.eu/jackmoreterms/gb.php

Borderlands 2 ships on September 21st 2012, and in North America on September 18th 2012.

Gamers who pre-order Borderlands 2 from participating retailers will gain access to the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club, allowing them to download the Gearbox Gun Pack, a Golden Key and the Vault Hunter’s Relic. To pre-order Borderlands 2 please visit www.borderlands2.com/preorder.
