Best Cross Game Ending Ever? – Assassin’s Creed Rogue into Unity (Spoilers for Rogue Players)

Despite all the negatives surrounding this year’s Assassin’s Creed games, for those who have played both Assassin’s Creed Rogue and Unity will notice the rather cool crossover ending which isn’t as apparent if you’ve not played both games. We had already completed Arno’s story in Unity before jumping into Shay Patrick’s tale in Rogue, making the ending quite meaningful. Looking back, there’s some clever touches which effortlessly tie the two games together whilst raising some questions in the process.

For Unity players following Arno’s story arc, the hunt for his father’s killer is a main motive for the character aside from the distracting love interest Elise. Shay’s story doesn’t end at Rogue’s conclusion either and is left wide open for further adventures. However, there’s a twelve year gap between Arno’s childhood and becoming an Assassin. During this time anything could happen to the Shay Patrick character. Interestingly, the future crossing of paths of these two characters is an interesting concept given both are essentially the good guy from a matter of perspective (or game) you look at it from. How Ubisoft crafts their relationship in the future is open for debate and could lead to many possible outcomes. Now check out the Rogue into Unity video which shows the cross game ending of Rogue and how it compliments the opening of Unity. Obviously for Rogue players this is a spoiler, so watch at your own risk.
