Assassin’s Creed Valhalla 4K Ultra High Benchmark – RTX 3090 – Hits 62 FPS Average

Here we put our RTX 3090 to the test with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in-game benchmark tool. We’re using a stock ASUS TUF OC RTX 3090 with no additional tweaking and no new drivers from Nvidia. We’re also using a stock i9 9900K CPU with 16 GB 3200 DDR 4 RAM and the latest Windows 10 version. The game version is 1.02. As you can see from the results here we manage 55 FPS average, however without shadowplay recording we did manage 58 FPS during one run. That’s using the game’s Ultra High preset and at 4K resolution. It’s not going to be difficult, to lower one of the settings to find the culprit which causes this to be so GPU intensive at 4K. Most likely the shadows reduced to Medium/High will solve the problem. We should also wait for some new drivers and run the test again. So stay tuned for that. In the meantime here’s our result.

Nvidia released some new drivers today (457.30) and we found it made a slight improvement as expected. We managed to get an average FPS of 62. However, this is by no means a constant 60 fps when playing. The game still dips well into the low 50s at times.
