Amazon underestimates demand for Amazon Fire TV controller

With its Amazon Fire TV console only just going on sale in North America, it seems the company has underestimated demand for the optional extra Amazon Fire TV controller which retails at almost half the price of the actual console for $39.99.  According to its store page, due to high demand for the controller it has currently sold out and wont restock for another three weeks, meaning those who purchase the Amazon Fire TV console at present will be controller less. This seems to be a bit of a mess considering, the gaming aspect of the device has been touted as one of the main features. However, what is interesting is the limit of 9 controllers per customer which could indicate that some customers are buying them in large numbers and thus aiding the stock shortages.
