Ace Combat Infinity Beta test coming

Namco Bandai Games yesterday confirmed that there will be a public beta test for their forthcoming free to play aerial shooter Ace Combat Infinity, which is heading exclusively to the PS3 in 2014. Ace Combat will follow in the footsteps of Namco’s other free to play crossover franchises such as Tekken and Ridge Racer.

There’s no word on the date of the beta, but we’ll assume it likely to be this year. From our discussions with Lead Producer, Kazutoki Kono, it seems developers Project Aces are looking very much at the other free to play games and how well they perform before finalizing how Ace Combat Infinity will work. The Beta test will also provide some valuable feedback for the team to make sure the game is in full working order for release.

In the meantime, take a look at some new screenshots from the game.
