Steam sale overloads servers

Everyone who is on PC and into gaming will be fully aware of the yearly Steam summer sale which has just begun for 2013. However, out of the rather high 4.7 million online users the Steam servers are taking a battering with many pages failing to load first time and a message indicating high volume is the cause. It seems Steam sales are hugely popular where some great savings can be made, yet gamers will have to be patient to get the stuff they want which is likely also dependent on location. The fact that the sale items are time dependent adds a little more urgency to proceedings, as the current set of games are on offer for a further 8 hours.
