Square Enix negative outlook due to lower than expected high profile sales

Square Enix has posted its end of FY 2013 figures and report which suggest a much lower than expected forecast than previously suggested as profits are well down and fall into the red. Lower than expected sales of games such as Tomb Raider, Hitman Absolution and Sleeping Dogs contributed to the downturn of the company’s figures as well as costs for restructuring within the company. However, it’s not all doom and gloom as social gaming has become more viable for the company with solid growth in this area.
