Rise of the Tomb Raider 4K – Max Settings GTX 980 TI

We already posted a series of videos looking at how well Rise of the Tomb Raider PC version stacks up using a GTX 980 Ti at 1080p but pushing the boundaries further and how does the card manage the game at 4K that’s 3840×2160 resolution. We’ve kept the settings at max with Purehair very high and managed to get around 30 frames per second. We captured the footage using Shadowplay which also impacts performance a little, but at least from the video you can see how good the game looks. For reference, our system is a i5 3570K CPU, GTX 980 Ti GPU, 16 GB Ram, Win 10 64 Bit OS.

For those watching on 1080p displays, make sure you’re using a compatible browser such as Chrome and you select the cog icon on the video and choose 2160p60 display option. Even on a 1080p display it will look much cleaner than regular 1080p Youtube videos. A Caveat, it might chug your system if it’s not up to spec though.
