Resident Evil 4 HD Vs Modded Resident Evil 4 UHD Video

Some modders have been beavering away replacing the HD textures in Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 HD on PC. Whilst they still have a long way to go, their efforts thus far are subtle yet quite pleasing on the eye especially considering the age of the source material which released way back in 2005 on the Nintendo GameCube. The duo have managed to replace a number of textures in the prologue section of the game making some of the details much better. However, due to artistic direction of the original graphics, they have had to make sure their updates mimic the colours rather than jarringly stand out. We think they’ve done a grand job thus far and when looking at the graphics side by side or in sequence as per our Resident Evil 4 HD Vs Resident Evil 4 UHD video, it’s clear what changes have been made, although unfortunately, the demo version they have released (the one we’ve used here) doesn’t include the updated textures on Leon’s jacket for example. If you’d like to try the update or find out more about the project, then head on over to their website and download the pack.

Please Note: In the video UHD refers to the modded version and HD is the original taken from the Ultimate HD Edition.
