Nvidia’s GTX 1080 Sells Like Hot Cakes At Launch

Nvidia released its latest flagship graphics card the GTX 1080 Founders Edition today at 2pm BST (or 6am PT) and as expected has practically sold out pretty fast in the UK despite the relatively high cost (approximately £620 including 20% VAT). The GTX 1080 looks like offering up to 30% increased performance gains over its nearest competitor in price the GTX 980 Ti (according to various benchmarks) which sits around the £500 mark. If you take a gander at a number of UK online retailers you’ll see a repeated and perhaps not unexpected out of stock message on most OEM versions with restocks coming next month.
