The Metro Redux versions are much better optimized than their regular counterparts especially Metro 2033 which seemed to chug the resources. Take a look at our Metro Redux performance video which shows off the frames per second in outdoor and interior scenes from the two games. The system used is an i5 3570K CPU, 8 GB Ram, and a VFX HD 7970 GPU. Vsync is turned off and AA set to Auto the game is running at maximum detail level and at 1080p. The HD 7970 is quite a common GPU so hopefully, this is a good indication of performance although as you can see in the video, the frames fluctuate from 40 – 90 fps.
