GTA V tops UK Software Sales Charts

As expected, the arrival of Rockstar Games’ GTA V has meant it climbing to the top of the UK software Sales Chart in its opening week of sale. Not far behind is Ubisoft’s Far Cry 4 which puts last week’s leader Call of Duty Advanced Warfare at number 3. Waiting in the wings once the dust has settled is EA’s FIFA 15 which sits comfortably in 4th place. Other new entries is EA’s RPG Dragon Age Inquisition which debuted at number 5. Interestingly Assassin’s Creed Unity – last week’s number 2 – has dropped to 6th place and the troubled Halo: The Master Chief Collection rests all the way down to 10th place dropping from last week’s 3rd place. With all of the holiday big releases now in the wild, it will be interesting to see which hold their ground over the coming weeks. We’re going to bet we’ve not seen the last of FIFA 15 in the top 3.
