Samsung has official stated that the Innovators Edition Samnsung Gear VR for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge is now available for pre-order ahead of its May 8th release where it will be purchasable online. However, there’s a sting in the tail for those jumping in right now as Samsung has set the price of the Gear VR at $200 (the same price as the Gear VR for the Note 4) yet US retailer Best Buy has the Gear VR listed some $50 more coming in at $250 and this is without the bluetooth controller. Interestingly initial shipments of the original Gear VR sold out quite quickly and so it looks like Best Buy are taking advantage of this with their pre-order scheme which secures a headset when they go on sale.
